its a matter of personal preference and how hard you drive them as to how reliable they are each has there strengths and weaknesses I got a marder and i love it but if I could have another car I would have a baja ss

Well I think it comes down to what you can afford! They are both fantastic cars there is no doubt about it...but the HPI has the edge on the price front! so for that fact alone I would say go for the HPI Baja, but as where Human, sometimes you got to go with what you really like! so if you prefere the looks of the FG over the HPI then go for the FG.
I own the FG Baja and love it! and I bought it due to the look of the FG Version! but I will at some point be getting the HPI Baja cos thats a cracker too
So to recap there both brilliant and both have there pros and cons
SO...
Buy the one you like the look of most
Edit I voted HPI but only cos its cheaper!!!

I voted hpi baja , although it does depend on what you intend to use it for the FG is a smaller wheelbase for tighter tracks if your racing , the hpi is also a good racer and basher so its down to personal preference

Hello thanks for the responses and thanks for adding the poll.Ijust want it for bashing.
I was leaning more towards the hpi the only reason I was thinking of the fg as I have a mader so have a load of parts
At the minute £500 is as much as I can afford so I would have to get the RTR B5 would it be worth wating a few month and get the ss version it mostly just looks like Bling theres only the exhaust I would like or are some of the hop-ups essential for the RTR one.
thanks

if you have a marder...i would definatley get a hpi baja..
correct me if im wrong, but the fg baja is basically the same thing as your marder....you can easily convert your marder to a baja if you wish.

weak? you seen the vids of the topple overs we have had and crashed into others, and who comes worse off, it aint the bajas, yes there are little upgrades needed as do all cars, you try and race a stock fg with us and se how long it lasts before an upgrade

aswum, good choice, you'll love it
appears they have changed the shell colour, or they now offer you the choice of different shell colours like they do with some of the RTR savages
i think that shell looks better than orange anyway
