The self coloured gears are case hardened .010" deep the mcd gears .020" , making these extremely hard to wear out, i think the standed steel gears you buy are only oil hardened, ( hence they wear out quicker = get your beer money out and buy a new set)

Personally i've maybe made these gears a bit to good, ha ha, no on a serious note i got fed up with chucking £10's away with melting and stripping plastic gears, so i have made these gears extremely light and very tough, so they will last !! saving you £££££££££££

hardened 2speed gear ratios available 1st gear 48t x 16t 46t x 18t 42t x 22t 40t x 24t 2nd gear 46t x 18t 44t x 20t 40t x 24t 38t x 26t 36t x 28t ( had a guy use this gear on a drag car in the states) All these gears are supplied with all bearings pins ect just put these on you existing 2 speed set up and away you go! i'm still on my original set from 18 months ago, you can work out your self how much money you would loose on plastic gears in that time, £90 a set ie:1st 48x16 + 2nd 46x18 + £2.50 uk postage overseas contact for shipping.. contact 07989348215 or pro-1-56@hotmail.com

I ordered a pair of inner gears for one of my MCDs yesterday and they arrived earlier today. Thanks for the excellent service and comms.
I'm well impressed with them. They are top quality products that fit like a glove and at the price you can get a complete set (inner and outer) gears for not much more than MCD want for a pair of gears.
Thoroughly recommended.

I have new gears coming this week ,(fg, carson, hobbypro, smartech, horman, ect ect,) these will be the same form as the plastic gears, made in ally and case hardened steel, also to fit fg 2 speed gear box. would any one be interested in these type? i've done a few this way as some people like to use the anti shock rubbers in the drive train, Any feed back on making these would be great, If there is a decent interest i will make a full range of sizes. ( i'll get some pics up soon as )
